Got two short chapters of my new story done yesterday, about 5k words in total. Now a little over 32k words into it.

I wanted to make it a comic, but after 3 weeks at it, I barely had 20 pages done. Not even half the damn prologue. Not even colored yet. I always go for too elaborate compositions, beyond my skill level. If I want to finish this project in my lifetime and share it too, there's no choice but to write it. It wasn't all a waste of time, since seeing the characters with my actual eyes made many things clearer, but I sort of wish I had spent those three weeks just writing instead.
Two steps forward, one step back.

Are visual novels simply the current meta of literature?

Just like how rap is the current meta of poetry?
