Even at a mere 80 or so pages, this felt MUCH too long, dragged terribly, had detestible, whiny characters bombarding all fronts, and superfluous descriptions of symbolic imagery.

Normally, if there's a classic I don't like, I can still acknowledge and respect its merits, quality, and influence. Not this time.
