What is with the autistic tendency to publicly catalogue and rate things? You see this not just with books but with music and movies. I am guilty of this myself. I used to be obsessed with last.fm and then later with letterboxd. Despite my usage of the word guilty, there is nothing bad about this. There is a risk that political or cultural climates could change and you would have a public records of expressing wrongthink, but beyond that the real detriment is to your time and to your psychology (all of a sudden you have an unhealthy desire to care what other people think about pointless things).

This really entered my mind when I was with a friend and when asked about what books he enjoys he literally just handed the other person his phone opened up to his goodreads. It was the most autistic thing ever. To be fair, the asker now has a richer understanding of what the other person reads, but what they were really asking was for a brief summary of the types of books they are interested in.
