My advice to you with a screenplay is to write the first and last scenes first and then fill in the middle. It's a different animal than pure text, and film is much more plot-driven with little (and sometimes absolutely no) time spent on the denouement. You want the point-of-attack and the big finish and from there you construct a line which connects the two.

Important thing to note, at times, as well:

CRITIC.

Let him do his job and you do yours and you both rest on the knowledge that without the other, you wouldn't have much to do yourself. And leave it alone at that, instead of taking his word for it every time he has a slight quarrel over matters of taste with you about something.

Also if this piece were in a book (edited and polished a little more) and had good build-up and/or supporting context, I would most likely admire it for its imagery.
