Don't know which direction you're trying to go. Some respond to abstruse metaphysics, others to something a bit more direct. I know that self-hatred, though. It's a terrible thing, but a good thing, too. Means there's still light in you.

Books will help but only physiological changes will really get you over the wall. Exercise, suffering, loneliness. Maybe smoke some weed to take a step outside of your mental carousel.

Here's a first step. I thought about this quote a lot when I was going through some shit.
