What are the best translations of Kafka?

I can tell something happened, but I can't articulate it.

How did Kafka change literature?

My gf's last name is Kafka and she's never read Kafka before. What's the best one to get for her and why? I've only read Die Verwandlung.

Hello.

I love this man's work. I don't know why, and even though I could find out, I don't think it's that important. His books are just fascinating to me, for whatever reason.

I usually can not sit through literature. The only other author I could sit through was Dostoevsky.

What can I read similar to Kafka?

Luring you further with malicious speak shrouded by a veiled innocence:
Hysteria lit the path with shadowed light from an envious lantern.

Cheered on by coats of tainted wool, and assailed by coats of tainted challis
You become conflicted.
What now?

Leering from platted comfortability, shadows hiss at you to march;
Indeed, you do, in fact, with many hesitations, and many trepidations,
But indeed, you do.

Best translation?

Kafka had the best titles, I think. Example: "Die Verwandlung." It grabs your attention. You start thinking, Who's Verwandlung? Why does he have such a weird name? And why does somebody want him dead?

Could Kafka rightfully be called a pioneer for Absurdism?

How does it feel not speaking german and not being able to read original Kafka? His writing style is the best I have ever experienced- nothing comes even close. I really feel bad for you guys
