I've unironically started looking into the JQ because so many of my favorite authors were antisemites.

How do you resist the urge to delete everything you're written so far and to give up on writing entirely?

Can someone help remind me the title of the Scandinavian Moby-Dick? I vaguely remember it being "The Longboats" or "The Longships" or something like that, and it had a NYRB print if I'm not mistaken but that is just a more superfluous detail.

I can tell from this you need to read plays. Your erotica will never more than twelfth rate if you have no mastery of a dramatic exchange in dialogue. You also probably have no idea how to structure scenes, you just put huge pictorial slabs of writing together with flimsy transitions.

I strongly suggest reading something like 100 -200 plays as a way for you to improve your writing. It can be done in as many days, even half as many, as they usually only take an hour or two to read.

Read modern and contemporary plays and one acts.

Best time to be alive if your measure is the avoidance of physical pain. If you care about any other kind of pain, or any positive definition of happiness, then it's one of the worst times in all of history to be alive. The middle ages were unironically a better time to live in if you go just by things like an individual's sense of belonging. The peaks of other ages were considerably higher by these sorts of measures as well.

If anybody is a degenerate it's you. You are basically a nihilist who avoids nihilism by passing the responsibility of finding a basis for living other than parental responsibility on to the next generation.
