Dear /lit/,

I understand the basic idea behind purple prose. It is writting for the sake of writing, over extended expalnations and extending to word count, ect...

But at what point does writing turn purple? How much is too much? I feel my own writting is purple but I don't know what to cut and if I start cutting then I cut everything down to a sentence or a paragrath with some dialogue tacked on and maybe the dialouge is sandwiched by another paragrath.

Is purple bad or is it okay to be a little purplish?

No trolling, just stumpted as an ameture writer.

>Capitalism is based on people making a living through hard work and effort.

>Socialism is based on government handouts, and as for communism, we all know how that turned out.

>Capitalism is the only really respectable system. You can try to hide out from it all you want in a state of perpetual childhood but you still need to work to make a living. Adam's gotta take a bite out of that apple and leave the Garden of Eden someday...

This is the stupidest shit I've ever heard, if your going to make a comment about economic systems at least know something about them. Also, communism only progressed Russia 75 years in 10 and it made it a superpower. So, I guess we don't all know how that turned out do we. Can't tell if your a troll or just stupid.

Not actually sure if you are trolling.....but I will give response anyways.

There is nothing remotely plain about "matter" there is no such thing as simplicity, the deeper down you go the more complex it gets.

And it is not possible for something to come form nothing, rather there is a popular theory that is more often made fun of than supported (but I think it has a few merits) M theory which is a culmination of the 5 string theories, and at a quantum level it says it is technically possible for matter to arise from nothing. BUT the math is flawed and empirically it is silly, and most physicists (atheist and theist) laugh at it. However if M theory were to somehow be amended with the math or become grounded in reality, that still would not "explain away God" the concept of "God" is much broader than the guy who made the universe. Plus the laws and constants that govern the universe and would make M theory possible still cannot arise form nothing or order themselves.

You and everyone else is trying to make science do and say things that it simply will not and is not meant to do. Science is not concerned with the existence of God nor does it remotely pertain to it. Science is about understanding the world/universe we live in, whether it was created by God or not. People need to stop trying to assert that science proves or disproves anything about God. God by definition exists outside the realm of scientific understanding or endeavor. People thrust their twisted definitions on science and either demonize it or glorify it based upon they can manipulate or misinterpret what science can tell you.

I don't go around shitting all over philosophy or literature claiming that certain things are revealed through them when I have a more poor understanding of them as opposed to someone in the profession, so I don't see why science has to always be shat on by people without a fucking clue asserting "science" says this or that.

pic very related when you put it like that... I'm very insecure about this stuff but my inferiority complex makes me want to see both praise and hate.
It's supposed to be formatted. The first part actually looks like a comma and it splits the two other statements and then the paragraph kind of gushes out underneath the comma in a block.

The title is "Between the spaces lives unbound lives"

"There are days in which I, doubting, whine:"

True love is when you look at them to feel less alone.
Their silence acts a speech.
Their sleep demands a sculpture.
Their heated tongue beats torture.
Their caress twitches a scalpel;

cutting open the bloodpumper to drain out that unhealthy hot uglypus. Everysingleone who loved another more than allso themselfless has known true love. Every sum of one more who wished their balloon with abandoned ballasts could raise this other's anchors, set sails on relationship and float into harbors havens and bays lusts loving truly. Let's end the mythology. We'll clasp each other in a dreadful embrace, dine on the slaughter, part in hatred, and remember that passion is a delinquent disaster waiting on a catalystastrophe.

Maybe one day remembering the laughter, cry.
We were alive.
We are dead.
Well I survived.
Let's end this myth-o-logic.

Whose logic that it wasn't true?
Whose myth?
They?
Everyanyone knows how much They know.

Certianly writers end up using the same language and phrases, but when the story, characters, setting, rules of the world, etc. are near the same as the novels that have come before, that is too far.
