Stop writing for other people. I’m serious. I started writing text novels back in middle school so I learned this pretty young, but writing for other people ruins your art. I wanted to write for success so all my work pandered to cishet white men, which I am none of. As soon as I started writing stories that I personally related to, with characters that I could find in my own communities, my writing advanced and I am now a novelist thousands of followers. Most who are from my own communities. I not only advanced but gave representation to my communities who thank me regularly for it. Even if you are a cishet white man, write for you and not the approval of others! Write what you want to write!

Can you direct me to more literature with QPOC influences? I never see queer people of color unless I directly seek literature from India, South America, Africa ect. And they’re always poorly translated. Do you know any books with poc queer culture? Like cultural identities and stuff, because I’m running out of authors real fast.
