You misunderstand the power of stoicsm if you think it is for cucks.

Be active. When you hit hard times activate stoic forcefields.

When I re-write drafts it can often take me several days. I find it hard to edit what I have written. But I have this scary thought to share and I hope /lit/ could give me their opinion.

So, I spend three days working over ten pages, about three hours every day. The rest of the day I spend lurking 4chan and on other forms of procrastination. Another ten pages I spend ten hours of one day. I am equally pleased with the result.

The thing I wonder is: during those three days of procrastination there's a lot of things that come to my mind and I improve. Do you think I would have come up with essentially the same ten pages if I focused instead and got it all done in a day? Or will, in fact, the things you get done effectively often be inferior?

He was definetly more intelligent and redpilled/hero than most of /lit/ and most of authors.

Too bad that his mind blasted and he made too bad decisions back then, we would live in heaven now if Germany had won the WW2.

They were not able to make it as strong as the heroin people use today.

In general Marcus Aurelius wanted his physicians to make it as weak as possible so it would not cloud his mind. He mostly needed for his stomach ulcher.

Remember that Marcus had a very clear, rational and down to earth mindset. He was also a great legislator. Heroin addicts are not able to operate on that kind of level as Marcus Aurelius did until such age.

Here's a great starting point
http://www.amazon.ca/Plato-Reader-Essential-Dialogues-Classics-ebook/dp/B00AQZYXNE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425414429&sr=8-1&keywords=8+dialogues+PLato

Basically you'll want to start off with some easy dialogues to get into the idea of the Socratic method. Plus it's nice to get some background on Socrates himself.

The Euthyphro, Meno, Crito, Apology and finally Phaedo are the quintessential starting areas for Plato. It introduces many of his very big concepts (The Forms, The theory of Recollection, Immortality of the Soul) while at the same time portraying Plato's idealization of Socrates.

All in all, a great starting place for Plato AND for Philosophy in general. After that you can read Republic, or perhaps some of his more unique dialogues (Gorgias, Symposium, Phaedrus).

>How's about you stop being a bitch and just deal with your shit
>Fuck man, we may only live once, so live wisely

Shit it's a shocker that someone as great as Marcus Aurelius bred a faggot son like Commodus Unless his wife cucked him. Or simply we take a lesson from Socrates and see that the most virtuous people have the shittiest kids
