Yeah I read it years ago. I honestly don't remember much of it but I do know that MC had some pale skinned barbarian girl as his main love interest who he eventually made his queen. That aside I really liked the heavily Roman Empire inspired setting Butcher used, but that's mostly because I'm a sucker for anything Rome related. I might reread the series again down the line.

I did the same. Amara and Bernard were cute at first, but after a while I found myself speedreading through their chapters. I only really cared about Tavi and his barbarian waifu Kitai. Speaking of which I wish there was decent art of her out there. Actually the series in general doesn't really have a lot of art. Is it not popular or something?
