Going back through these before reading the 4th that just came out; and the 3rd is so fucking awful I thought I would ask if it's worth bothering with 4th.
1st book was great and then it just seems like the author started gargling semen. There is no way the 3rd book has the same author; it's like they are a completely broken shell of a person, destroying their own creation.

Hey /lit/, can anyone recommend some good High Fantasy?

Some books I've enjoyed:

I've read pretty much everything by Brandon Sanderson and very much like his writing style. Also want to avoid the more rape-y books. Thanks.

Why is this so popular among my friends who are fantasy fans? I tried reading a few chapters and it just seemed really boring.

Shame the sequel is only decent, suffers from switching protagonists, but its still allright

Hello /lit/, while reading Way of Kings by Sanderson, I became very interested in the Honor Codes within the book. For anyone who didn't read it, it is some guidelines/passages by which a man should act.

for example: do not do to others as you would not do to yourself, etc.

I am looking for a book that has passages like that, a Codes of Honor book if you will.

anyone know anything of the sort?

Holy shit this book is awesome! Best fantasy I've read in years. Can't wait until the second installment.

i started reading this book after hearing good reviews on this board..
i find the characters in the book extremely boring and i cant attach myself to them. i only really mean Kaladin and Shallan.
after finished the first part of the book im not motivated at all to finish it esspecially after reading reviews on how the plot goes no where.

should i continue reading this book? will it get better? what do you think of this book?
