Title: See These Bones (The Murder of Crows #1)
Author: Chris Tullbane
Rating (of the entire trillogy): 7/10
Oh yeah, that hits the spot. Juicy edginess acompanied by that classic teenage angst. Suprisngly, the book isn't that childish, the author is a mature author who knows what he's doing.

Post-apocalypse super-hero story with a Necromancer protagonist - what not to love? You will either love or hate the author's style. Supposedly the first book appeals much more to people past the first half of the book, well, I was hooked from the start, even if the story is somewhat narrow in its focus.

As for the entire trillogy, it's well-written, but the overall plot is kind of stitched together. The ending does tie up everything, but doesn't quite strike the landing. Oh well, still one of the better superhero stories I've read. Could do with a bit more planning but it's good anyway. Pity it cannot be called great, though.
