I've recently surpassed half of this, and now that I know that everyone in the expedition is dead and the remaining members are still alive in the present , I feel like suddenly all the tension has dropped and the detailed descriptions that were so unnerving at the start now seem a little bit pointless and hard to go through.
I don't know, now that the danger seems to be gone, what felt atmospheric now seems like excessive, almost mathematical description and I'm starting to get bored as the last 15 pages haven't really felt like they were moving the story along.
Does it eventually change? am I just being filtered?
(sorry for possible grammar errors, english is not my main language)
