>Every library is already a gym
Yes but for some reason libraries can't tolerate men training naked or wearing heavy equipment, as they should do when they are bringing their physical shapes into accord with their impressive mental faculties. There is especially a lack of young men on the verge of their manhood exercising their naked bodies and sate other practitioner's eternal desire for beauty and wonder - for all men cannot hep but strive for beauty, and there is no expression of divine beauty like that of a young man excelling in both the studies of mind and development of his fresh muscles and bones.

Can anyone really explain the wisdom of banishing the wellspring of divine beauty that are young men engaging in pankration from the temples of beauty that libraries are supposed to be? You see, I'm not a learned or wise man, so I would appreciate if you could explain to me why is it done the way it is and why you choose to believe it.

This might seem like a brainlet thing to say, but: what about just talking to Zoomers and Alphas about reading?

If reading is so great, shouldn't you be able to articulate WHY it's so great? If reading a book or a poem can give you a level of delight and instruction that you can't get watching a movie, or browsing social media, then shouldn't you be able to say so?

My experience with young people time and time again is that a lot of them value honest engagement. Sure, some of them are going to think you're lame, or a loser. But some people are hopeless. But I have encountered plenty of teenagers who sincerely appreciate just being talked to honestly like adults.

So why not TELL them how much you love reading, and why you love it? Just tell them "reading is cool, here's why." I'm not sure it's any more complicated than that.

Plato, too, is a big influence on Melville's highest stuff. Moby-Dick and The Confidence Man have more than a dash of Platonic metaphysics hinted at in their overarching stories.
