Made it to book 8 of Will Wight's Cradle series. I'm seriously thinking of dumping this going forward and just read mediocre LitRPG books.

Lindon is still a big fat pussy, even though he's a powerful underlord. The author knows this too and even had side characters comment about this indirectly. Lindon also has a bad case of one-itis for Yerin. As a reader, I don't give a shit about Yerin. Will seems to like her more than Lindon. Also why the fuck would you give a "blood shadow" monster to the female protagonist. Does Will like to fuck his GF when she's on her period or something? Yuck!

I am so tired of the umpteenth description of her losing control of her blood shadow and how it disgusts her. Hopefully book 8 fixed that repetitive shit.

Too many powerful stronk independent female characters in this series. Charity, Mercy, Malice, Yerin, dragon girl villain. It's tiring. I don't care about them, but Will gives them so many pages. Way too many female voices. It's like I'm watching a hallmark movie.

Akura Grace is my favorite female character. She is the proper nerd's female protagonist - minimal dialogue, pretty, noble, and desires MC's dick.

In book 7, the grand tournament was somewhat exciting - minus Lindon's matches where he's still a big fat pussy. Now in book 8, I just want the action to get back to Lindon and his greedy farming for contribution points. But I literally have to skip huge blobs of boring fight scenes in the tournament this time.

Man, fuck modern western fantasy fiction. Truly the greatest stories of all time have the least amount of females characters.
