good fucking lord
much of music is already pandering to popular or corporate tastes, but this is just horrifying
some soulless drooler committed energy to writing that chant. There's something particularly horrifying about corporate culture to me, building all aspects of life and aesthetic into pure commodification in this quasi-religious, soul-eclipsing nihilism.

Reminds me of the first time I smoked salvia and felt torn between worlds like a vacuum was sucking just beneath all the cloaking mara/sensory experience, in a way which this painting comes close to describing.

Bernhardovi prevodi (hrvatski i srpski) su odlicni. Srpski prevodi Bukovskog (Rigonat) su isti kao original. SFRJ prevodi rusa su fantasticni.

Najbolji prevod ikada je Nasuprot by Zivojin Zivojnovic. Ko nadje usrecice se. Covek je prevodio i Prusta. Ko potcenjuje prevodioce ne poznaje sopstveni jezik. Pod tim mislim srpskohrvatski, ovo srb-hrv koristim pre svega da bi znali na kom narecju je prevod.

Ne znam da li je sluzbeni glasnik na tom sajmu ali ako bude potrazite sabrana dela Vinavera koji su izdali, boljeg teoreticara knjizevnosti van eventualno zapazanja ruskih formalista nije bilo. A pogotovo kada je rec o teoriji prevodjenja i ritmici jezika uopste.

Najveca tragedija nasih dana je da se u Hrvatskoj ne cita srpska epska poezija a da je Petrica Kerempuh nepoznat medj Srbadijom.

Why does there seem to be an inverse relationship between how happy you are and how many books you read?

I think there's nothing sadder than the man who believes he'll make a good writer because he's "well read"

It's really pathetic, like some slob on a couch saying they could play in the NBA because they watch all the games and know all the stats. The man who's read 10 books is just as likely to be a good writer as the man who's read a 1000.

It's not about how many books you've read, it's about how many books you've got inside you that need to be put on paper. It's not something you can just "practice"

Simply, what are the most beautifully written books? I do not mean to necessarily equate beauty with technical mastery, i.e. Milton, Shakespeare, and Joyce, though of course this thread is subjected to your personal inclinations.

I will say Moby-Dick, Mason and Dixon, Hydriotaphia, portions of Nabokov, the poetry of John Keats and William Wordsworth, and the poetry of Shakespeare.
