Yeah, I read the book and was legitimately horrified at times. Shrier is like a psychological war veteran for having put herself through it. The United States is not Somalia, it’s not a war-torn hellhole and a third-world country, there’s a lot of things to appreciate here, but there are legitimately horrifying things happening under the thin veneer of “liberal compassion.” And people are getting angry at the blind eye “compassionate liberals” turn to the crap they support or are implicated in causing, and eventually the “basement dwelling alt-right lunatics we all hate” might legitimately do terrifying things as the United States continues to morph into this totalitarian monopoly capitalist/cultural Marxist hellhole.
