I loathe them. If it has sparse underlining or bracketing, that's fine. Full annotations are a deal breaker. I don't like to write in my books, except if they are non-fiction texts or I am very intently studying the book.

Bought this book months before ever opening it up, then turned to the title page and saw this. Thought it might have been printed on it, and thought it was a little on the nose for someone like Kavan. But no, this copy I bought used is just full of stupid fucking notes. And they're dense too, there are like 10+ on each page. Of course they end 1/3ed of the way through it tho lol
