What's the point of doing anything, when you get used to things anyways?
The first time I masturbated it was awesome, now it's really nothing special because I'm used to it
And what's the point of improving my life so I can have a better car, hot wife and bigger amounts of money when I'm just going to get used to my new standard of living within 3 months anyways, and start taking it for granted just like I'm taking food, shelter and freedom for granted right now?

Why do low iq people stare at others?

Even when the person notices and looks at them they keep gawking. Even animals aren't this unaware.

>A child should be grateful for being born
>A child should get a job and move out as soon as they turn 18 if they're not in college
>A child should pay their parents back for raising them in as many ways as they can
>A child is responsible for giving their parents grandchildren
Do you agree with the above statements? Explain why.

How do you think behaviour works?

>NEET sits on his ass all day masturbating and watching anime
>NEET knows he'd rather be doing something else, like hiking
>NEET seems incapable of forcing himself to stop watching anime and excessively masturbating, even though he wants to
>NEET continues to sit on his ass all day masturbating and watching anime

What actually controls us? We obviously don't just decide to do something and the body obeys, otherwise we'd all be ripped, guitar playing pro football players. Something else is at work, you could say your environment and needs determine behaviour. But is that even true? Arnold Schwarzenegger emerged from the backwoods of Austria through sheer force of will, clearly his environment and needs were not what drove him to do this. A common theme among particularly driven individuals is they were extremely driven even from childhood. Schopenhauer spoke of The Will as if it was a force corrupting and compelling us, never letting us rest. Desire. Could it be a hunger to have others look at you? Most lazy people I've met just wanted to be alone, they actively avoid the attention of others.

What's the mechanism behind why religious people are religious?

It's not family. It's not society. It's not culture. Even an 8 year old knows whether they believe in it or not. Something about the brain, like that study that showed if you used magnets to switch off certain parts of the brain, like threat perception, you'd become left wing. We already know they're generally lower iq than non-religious people but I think there's more to it, there's plenty of idiot atheists.

There's something different about their brains that makes them inclined to let their imaginations run wild when faced with issues in life.

Do you think there's a hard limit, a ceiling, most people can't break through mentally concerning certain thoughts/opinions/theories?

Sometimes I talk to my friend about things and I've noticed, once I get onto certain topics his brain just shuts down. He understands what I'm saying but it's like he has this defence system that swats it away because it's going against what society says is the truth. He's not stupid but he seems to have a hard limit on how far I can push him to consider certain points of view, not even convince him of them just open his mind to the idea or concept, and anything beyond that just hits a firewall and gets parried.
