He really seems to avoid acknowledging that. Whole video on learning a second language (French) and he never mentions learning English. At one point he talks about accent in a second language, how that's relevant for him, then follows it with

Conceivably he could have grown up bilingual or gone to an English language school, but people who do that usually have a much more native sounding accent.
