Sandersonfags... I kneel. The Final Empire is one of the best opening novels to a trilogy ever written. The twist at the end is as iconic as Gandalf stalling the Balrog in Fellowship.

my main thought is that the MC feels really uncanny, she experiences so much trauma, but then continues acting like a regular teenage girl the large majority of the book.

Uhhh, that worldbuilding makes me wanna cum. And that big saucy, daddy I can see myself in is just so hot. I relate to the main character because I'm also a genius who gets laid a lot, and that magic system is so real (exactly what i want in my fantasy).
