I moved around a lot when I was a kid and partially because of that I didn't have very many friends. I read to pass the time on many long car trips or flights. My mom always bought me a huge box of books from the library sale before a trip, and I would often read the same book four or five times.

I get along way easier with women who are so attractive that I don't even entertain thoughts of trying to get them into bed. I'm also much more comfortable around significant others of friends and relatives. It's like being a beta can turn you into a serene eunuch.

Well, yeah, but I don't really have friends outside of people I occasionally talk to between classes but never go to parties with or invite over. The only time I've ever asked out a girl was via text, and I almost threw up doing that. We went on one date. It was not very enjoyable.

I think Holden is a real shitbag (even aside from the whining, he's just a bad person) but I find a lot of similarities between he and I. I think most people are corrupt, think about death too much, and don't know what to do with my life or how to be happy. I'm can also be pretty insulting to people.
