Is it more likely that humans have individually created human souls that are either heading to an afterlife or being crushed into oblivion.

Or is all individual consciousness just an illusion? As in all conscious creatures in the universe are from the same substance therefore all life is essentially one conscious being expressing itself in many different 'modes' (DNA structure, separate bodies etc)

The 2nd theory is more terrifying than hell because it means that suffering will quite literally never end.
Creatures will exist until the universe collapses, and then a new big bang is created from the potential energy of the collapse, where the process starts all over again and suffering begins again.

People start revolutions while bored. I imagine most revolutions do not come from lofty ideals of idealism, but of running out of whiskey on a weekend with nothing to do but stare at the covers of dusty old books they have already read.

Reason is a powerful tool and without a standard for striving toward absolute, total, immutable, infinite goodness, perfection itself, it is nothing than an infinite regression, a subservient function to some primal calling that somehow manages to be removed from its purpose to such an extent it makes the primal use, in its proper order look good. Even if this is a lie, even if it's false. It does not matter. It is infinitely better to set ourselves after perfection than to reject this and be what? To return to wallow in the mire? Looking around 99.9% of people I see are slaves. I ignore most people but any debate I view most with scorn and contempt, animals controlled by their primal desires and emotions. Creatures as theologians say. The only people I remotely view as attaining freedom for the limited number of years on earth are monks and priests and most are frauds. I don't believe in God.

Nothing good goes on in a public gym. You do not self-improve there, you degenerate. As you can see, nowhere have I blotted out the importance of physical fitness, so do not construe it as such.

What if I told you that instead if going to the gym—yes—you could build your own at home? There is no excuse. Finance it and it can be had for the price of a gym membership. You can get weights for free from thrift shops and Craigslist. Let's cut the bullshit, Mike or whatever your go by. You go there because you're at home in the pig pen and it provides some familiar faces to make you feel less lonely, it gives you some sense of social pride to tell your peer group that you're going to the gym, and it offers an easy way to get laid by the loose women.

I've read the Bible. I had a christian education growing up. My parents are Catholics. I want to believe, but the idea of an omnipotent creator doesn't make sense to me.

This is a cruel joke on men played by nature. If/when you were an incel, or just a late-bloomer, you would practically give up anything for a relationship with a girl. And of course, they pay no attention to you when you are in that desperate state.

Once you do learn how to talk to women (and realize that it isn't that difficult), you just unlocked the super power you always wanted when you were a horny 15yo jerking it to porn. However, at this point you probably already are in a relationship and are now forced to suppress the power you just gained. Going to a bar or cafe, you know you could strike up a convo with the cutie you see sitting alone. But now you have to put a self imposed leash to stop yourself. WTF, kind of joke is this.

Also, you stick to the relationship (assuming its a good one), because the emotional stability and sexual consistency it offers beats chasing tail constantly. You can be a hunter gatherer constantly on the hunt, or an agriculturalist with stability.

I'm getting tired of reading classics and am thinking of trying a Stephen King novel. Am I a pleb? Should I just end it all?

How can I get past nihilism it seems an impossible hurdle to me. Should I just accept it?
