Now that the dust has settled and he admits his thesis was wrong, you know what really, really irks me about Fukuyama? In his book he claims that he doesn’t like the fact that history is ending and that he finds it a tragic development for humankind, but now, 20 years later, when history has not in fact ended and liberal democracy is declining, he gets upset about it. So fucking DISHONEST
