These books were written by Christians, for Christians and are informed by Christianity.

I've been meaning to study religious books, but I don't want to get borded into reading all of the 1000 pages of the Bible or 4000 of the Veda. Is there any good book that actually covers, in a skeptical way the non-fictional and the fictional aspect of the holy books and it's meaning in the world we live in as today, interconnecting all hebrew religions and their differences?
