Gustavo Bueno has some books on that.

Plato's Republic of course, along with Hoppe's "Democracy: The God that Failed", Hobbes' Leviathan, The Federalist papers and Machiavelli's Prince.
Carl Schmitt and Leo Strauss have written on that too, but I haven't read them yet.
I'm doing an investigation on this topic too (plan to write a treatise).
