Is individualist anarchism just one big meme? Please recommend me some books by Stirner, dude is just fascinating to me. I get the sense that he is incredibly intelligent, yet everything I hear about him is just memeworthy.

I'll be honest. When I first read The Unique and its property I thought he was a pseud (and some of his takes are still really cringe), but the older I get the more I start agreeing with Stirner that caring and engaging about the Other's problems is really detrimental to your well being

If I remember right it was some "philosophy of the 19th century" introduction compilation book and the art style of this stirner caricature carried through the entire book. Stirner wasn't even a main focus, only like one or two pages dedicated to him (of which half were this exact drawing).
I guess this caricature only rose to attention and widespread useage because there are so few pictures of the man
