>Socrates, you are a wise fellow. I beg you not become frustrated with my stupidity. For this foolishness may present itself clearly in my question to you. Would not the idea of justice or goodness or any other word be up to the decision of the individual using it?

How would Socrates respond?

I just finished re-reading the Socratic Dialogue Euthyphro. Am I alone in assuming Socrates' tone is leading? By the end of the dialogue, he seems downright mocking. I couldn't help but read it this way. It was hilarious and gripping as a result.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on Socrates' tone here.

Who here would enjoy a novel about an inspiring pianist who insists on building his own grand piano, and the struggles it entails for him?

Elysian tier:
Homosexual misogyny (older women excluded)

Ascended tier:
Anti-Asian prejudice, terrifying fear of the Asiatic hordes, goes back a millennium and is being justified anew every day. Asian tourists with cameras everywhere constantly taking pictures of you, informants to the Chinese Intelligence Agency, how can you tell what they're Really up to!?

Patrician tier:

Romantic libertine humanist antisemitism; or 'The Ten Commandments are too hard for me and I simply have an inexorable need to steal other men's wives'; aka. Richard Wagner

Resentiment/jealousy tier:
Negro-hate, (remember, the Ethiopians were the 'most beautiful people on Earth' and 'Children of Zeus', even the Greeks admitted it, black guys are the most beautiful people on earth.

Antisemitism
>t-these people who are responsible for the greatest intellectual and artistic achievements of the 20th century ... must be up to something!!! why can't I be so good?
