That triumphant explosion of emotion at the very end might be one of my favorite parts of any book I've read.

Anyone else kind of resonate with Meursault aside from him being a sex having Chad?

Is this all Camus has to offer? I finished reading The Stranger and I can't understand why people hold it in such high regard. Yeah, existence is meaningless and absurd, but thats it? WOW, SOO PROFOUND!

Pretty much every single philosopher has an idea (like this), but then offers something of a solution to deal with the ideas presented.

Hey, French anon here.

I always found it weird that the English title of this work was The Stranger. I have seen it translated as The Outsider, too, which is more accurate. More accurate still would be The Alien. The title has no English equivalent really, the literal translation would be "The Spooky Man," but The Stranger has always struck me as an odd translation.

What do you think?
