I agree with anons that reading The Silmarillion first is probably not a great idea. I'd say it doesn't really matter all that much whether you start with LotR or The Hobbit, though. But your order is perfectly fine.
You could even leave Silmarillion for last, as it unites all these stories into a world's history, but that's a matter of preference and you might not really know what you prefer until you've already read some of it, I suppose.
