She was certainly conscientious, which made her act slightly more sad. The signs were posted in direct, legible script, underlined and ended with especially emphatic exclamation points. The windows had been sealed with plastic-wrap.
A curious byproduct was the staining. The salt and sweat had reacted to form waxy, opalescent pieces of precipitate caught in mid-flow down her cheeks and the streaks had hardened like amber. Hair like late-autumn grass flowed down and framed these fairy-like crystalline gleamings.
The crying had been consistent and copious before she shook the bottle. A chemistry student, it was questioned by a few later who knew her whether her stigmata had been chosen or simply a strange quirk, a natural whim which created wonder within a too-trite melodrama.
"DO NOT OPEN!!" in red Sharpee marker taped to the car window. The responding officer wasn't sure what to make of it.
After airing out the automobile, one paramedic fell in love while the other debated Chinese food for dinner. Many people on Facebook were appreciatively saddened. Someone played a maudlin melody the girl had actually hated, urging us all to get a little closer, to stand together and love each other. Everyone cried under Topeka's dull sky like Kansas was coming down with her at the funeral. The fairy-marks were washed off and her cheeks dabbed with cosmetics she never wore. No one considered she was now free of them.

Yeah, it was. I don't remember what all else I had to say.

I remember I was also going to mention that Ignatius' use of Boethius is in itself a psychological defense, and that's one of the easiest ways to see it: Ignatius doesn't seek money or work or anything really at all because the wheel of Fortuna moves up or down as it wills, yadda yadda yadda, which is a very apt characterization of how determinism instills nihilism. The reflection of this is in how he treats his mother as well, and this is, in a perverse way, a mirror of a common Christian idea: you don't just expect God to get your shit done for you, you go out and do it and God may help you. His leeching off of and disrespect towards his mom is the same way he treats his "faith."

I like reading dramas, from Waiting for Godot to Elektra from Euripides, but I have a problem with Shakespeare.

English is not my first language and his old English is giving me huge problems. If I read it slowly with dictionary, I loose all enjoyment, and if I read it at normal pace, I barely understand it.

I just don't know what to do, abandon him altogether or find a way to learn old English. If its the later, any advice on how to do that?
