Have any of you all have given 本好きの下剋上 -- Ascendance of a Bookworm -- a try? I have only read a few LNs, and this one to me stood head and shoulders above the rest. The culture (history, customs, traditions, mannerisms, introductions all the way down to the cuisine), religion, economy, stratified social structure, the city, regions, and country are so well fleshed out that you can understand how these conditions created all the characters in the story. There story is about a young bookworm Japanese woman is Isekaid as a poor, sickly, commoner 4-5 year old girl into a Medival setting (if you can just overlook this trope) where books are only accessible to nobility and the extremely wealthy (as books are made by hand). The story then follows her learning about the world, making use of her vast knowledge centuries ahead of her time, and trying to make books.
