That bullshit about Big brother never existing always irritates me. It's an issue never addressed in the novel, rather something created by scholars reading too much out of the book. Don't fall for that trap.

heh, I admit that PMS has the potential for destroying dramatic action and making things mundane- the character is less in control and responsible for their actions, and any action that follows is pretty generic.
