Ecology of Freedom by Bookchin, it's more social ecology, but it does generally go into ecosystems and ecology and is very heavy in how this relates to philosophy but also with how we understand and interact with these systems

The Next Revolution by Bookchin
Also get out of the left-center-right bullshit, it's not real and it clouds reality.

I fuckin love him, he helped me sort out a lot of my political thoughts and ideas and achieve a greater degree of coherence. He also wasn't afraid of having a lot of complexity and nuance about issues that many others lack or are just unwilling to entertain and he's fuckin based for that.

The Next Revolution is the best place to start with him imo. It was made after he concretely created and finalized his theories and praxis of Communalism; and it goes over all of those things in really understandable and digestible terms. It's the definitive intro to Communalism, Social Ecology, and Bookchin's thoughts and ideas towards the end of his life.

How in the fuck do you have Bookchin on an anprim list? Bookchin was starkly against primitivism and constantly criticized it. Putting Bookchin on that list shows either that you haven't actually bothered to read any of what he wrote or you misread it so horribly that you're essentially retarded. Bookchin has always been ecologically minded, and in the middle of his life he was an anarchist (well more so ancom, but let's not get bogged down in that sort of shit) but being ecologically minded and an anarchist =/= anprim.
I find it more insulting because you included The Ecology of Freedom which he wrote when he was firmly in the middle of creating Communalism which is diametrically opposed to anprim theory.

Social Anthropology and Other Essays - E.E. Evans-Pritchard
&
The Anthropology of Utopia - Dan Chodorkoff
Also Social Anthropology is inextricably tied with Social Ecology so I strongly suggest checking out stuff that features that such as:
Hybrid Geographies - Sarah Whatmore
Prismatic Ecology: Ecotheory Beyond Green - Jeffrey Jerome Cohen
And really Anything by Bookchin but I strongly recommend starting with The Next Revolution. Or if not Bookchin himself then check out: The Politics of Social Ecology - Janet Biehl

I think there is a possibility of it being put into practice (at least if we follow his ideas of starting off with bookclubs and actively engaging with your local community/politics) though it is a very slow and laborious process and I couldn't say with any sort of hope that this sort of thing would ever reach a large scale, in my mind it would most likely happen within several towns/communities around the country (hopefully located near eachother so they can work together) at least when it comes to talking in our lifetime.
If that sort of community building were to occur in our lifetime then I could see the possibility of it spreading more outwardly past our lifetime and everything. But who knows, maybe if conditions get worse (which there is a great chance of happening)that more people will be more receptive to these sorts of ideas and practices more quickly than they otherwise would be.

I like cum town a bunch, they're funny dudes who don't really give a shit and just kinda bullshit every episode so it's enjoyable in that way. But I agree in that I don't understand why people think they're so smart or better than everyone else, they're just some dumb idiots shooting the shit and sometimes they'll throw in some noncommittal political thing (and that seems pretty rare to me, feel free to tell me I'm wrong though)
Again, they're great dudes, but I don't get how people think that they're above other podcasts or somehow more enlightened.

the thing is she's not an anarchist in the sense of the violent anarkiddies who seem to dominate the scene these days.

she gave a forward to the Next revolution by Bookchin in recent years, I don't know if she has said anything about rojava and all that.
