My ideal partner would be interested in economics, intelligence theory, augmented reality, and ethics with regard to human augmentation in the workplace. Previous partners were interested in: 1) Yaoi and 2) Lonely Planet and veganism and 3) Queer/women's lit. Only 2 was marriage material.

Based thread anon. I also humbly recommend the histories of Cassius Dio, Livy, Josephus, and the poetry of Statius and Lucan.

Mine is 400-something pages, an "and other essays" edition. I can't find it right now. It's been several years, but I remember James took excruciatingly long to make his (relatively simple) points. It was not as enjoyable as Emerson, whose prose was idyllic and comfy by comparison.
