Seems to me like an overwrought, edgy, book with ugly prose, various grammatical errors, lacking subtlety, written by a snobbish and disillusioned young person with more arrogance than sense. The pacing is uncomfortable and the world written about is a stereotype (of which, I'll give you this, the worst parts of modern culture).
