DON'T READ THE DUNE SERIES
DON'T DO IT

Let me explain.
I was once like you, anon. Young, fresh of heart, and ready to embark on a literary journey.
But let me tell you now, anon, that your journey is all for naught.
Perhaps you will never overcome the length of the first Dune book.
Perhaps you'll finish the story of Paul after Dune: Messiah.
Perhaps you'll find Leto II a little too faggy for your taste, and leave after God Emperor Dune.
And those endings, while disappointing, are NOTHING compared to the hell of actually reading ALL 6 BOOKS WRITTEN BY HERBERT
You see, Chapterhouse Dune was the sixth in Herbert's seven-book epic, and ended on a MASSIVE cliffhanger.
What fucked us all in the ass was ol' Frank keeling over before etting to work on the book that would wrap up the whole series.
What's more, his retarded son (who was never made aware that he was a bad writer in school due to his father's status) decided to finish his father's series with 2 books acting as a finale.
AND.
THEY.
SUCK.
Brian Herbert showed the world both that he never understood his father's work and that the Dune universe was over.
Which brings us to now, anon.
Now you have a choice: to end your long future journey at the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers, or to trudge along Brian's works, searching desperately for even a speck of his father to be in his work, but finding none.
Save yourself now, anon.
Don't set yourself up for disappointment.
Don't get invested in this great series with its shitty end.
Don't read Dune.
