Why are Greek gods so original and how did they just spring up out of nowhere? I can trace the Christian God to Judaism and zoroastrianism. I can trace many gods back through the centuries to vedic gods, even some of the Egyptian ones. I have no idea what the genealogy of Greek gods were and why they seem to have the richest and most colorful characters.
