It is excellent. He is truly a master of aesthetic, the best Japanese author together with Kawabata. Golden Pavillion is the way to start, a beautiful story about achieving immortality through a herostratos practice.
If you are new to Japanese lit at all I would rec reading the Japan, The Beautiful and Myself by Kawabata, a short speech at Nobel Award about the notion of, well, beauty and meaning in japanese lit or Sun and Steel for a more in depth understanding of Mishima's concept on it. Have fun
