Finished this. Onto the part everyone says is interminably boring.
Reading the glossary of names gives a few hints at what's to come. How much of the Valfather's castle will we see? How much of King Arnthor's court? (Rhetorical questions.) If half the book is basically nothing, and then it rushes through all these things in the last third, I can imagine it will be very disappointing, but I have my doubts about that.
Mostly I'm looking forward to the giant on human slave rape.
