>MFW I read Austen.

Seriously, Jane Austen. I am sick and tired of that thick, unwieldy, sluggish prose and the flat characters and THAT being hailed as great literature.

It's the same with Dickens. Long, boring stories - though coherent - but so damn inconcise you want to tear your eyes out. And the characters are all poorly conceived. Dickens had some of the flattest characters of all time.

Am I the only one who thinks this?

TL;DR Austen, Dickens, and the Brontes vs. The World
