>what do you write?
working on a novel. i used to write poetry

>what has your writing trajectory/journey been like?
english degree with a writing emphasis. concentration in poetry and short story.
i've done nanowrimo for 8ish years.
i moved to nyc as part of my intention to become a writer and lived there for 6 years. i am proud of that.
i was working on a magical realist novel but switched to my current project because i know it has greater marketability. i did intend to write a YA fantasy at some point, so this isn't a cash grab, just the realities of trying to break into the market.

poetry for my poetry class in college

>have you been published?
i've never sent anything out. a friend put a couple poems in his newsletter at his request.

>what writing accomplishment are you most proud of?
simply sticking with it with the intention of making this my career. continuing to learn the craft.
a bunch of different passages in my work.

>what are you currently writing about?
YA fantasy with a plucky heroine

>do you think you would be happier if you weren't a writer?
i think i'd have more fun as a musician (i have a musical education i didn't pursue) but writing satisfies me like nothing else
