Anyone have any self-help book recommendations?

I've overcome most of my issues, but I find that self-help books help me regulate them instead of backsliding. It keep my mind busy in a way that "motivational" books don't. Most "inspirational" books just sound cheesy.

I've got some extreme depression that occasionally gets manic. This manifests in some addiction issues and anxiety and panic attacks.

Books I've read Leadership and Self-deception, Anatomy of Peace, Man's Search for Meaning, How to Win Friends and Influence People, Bonds that Make us Free and Four Agreements. (In order of favor-ability)

Any suggestions? I've read a few books that are like the "8 steps to change" format, and I hate those. I'd prefer something that's a little more personal and tells a story with profound commentary throughout.
