now I understand. to make art, you need to look into yourself. the world is made of lies, and no art coming from a lie can ultimately last. if you want to write a book, you need to show your own truth, because your truth is more real than the illusions of the world. for every doubt you have, find the answer by looking into yourself. I think Im ready to start writing.

Why reject the submissive aspect of life? I'm a man and I've come to feel a thousand times more confident / secure just by letting myself accept the inevitable vulnerability that comes with life. It means I'm no longer trying to "prove" that I'm active and capable and dominant, because I've faced the things that would make me feel passive and incapable and submissive, and no longer fear them.

been doing that for years now. whenever i see a cool visual effect, concept, whatever, i incorporate it into my internal world.
but recently i've been spoiled by videogames and recreational drugs. my imaginative power has waned considerably and that really upsets me.

when i was a kid i used to spend hours just looking out my window, imagining myself as a smaller me, climbing trees, riding on the backs of birds, fighting off squirrels etc.

how can I get it back?
