Oh well, it could be worse. In Canada the CBC is funded by general taxes, so you can't opt out even if you don't watch their shitty second rate tv programs or read their news (((which is heavily biased in favour of the Liberal Party)))

>My wild guess is that Quebec would have separated, and the rest of the country would have developed in a much more explicitly pro-British and conservative direction, which was the policies of his predecessors. Without the eastern libs co-opting socialism in a weakened form, the country would be more polarized politically and the prairie provinces would have stayed as the hotbeds of socialism that they once were. Ontario would become the anchor of Canadian conservatism, which would be more a mirror of christian social conservatism that you see in the states. Social programs like healthcare and EI wouldn't exist except at the provincial level where they would vary more in their generosity

Sounds like paradise.

>You don't have to like it. You can think it's silly. You don't have to like them. You don't have to call them some alternative (you can just use their name when referring to them in third person), but it is polite to try.

Well I'm just going to have to be impolite, sorry eh? You can't please everyone.

>logic, phil, psy, soc

My eccentric English teacher tried to teach us some of that but otherwise, no. Psychology was an elective, and being Canadians we were forced to learn French. History was also an elective available only in our last year, other than that we had something called "social studies." In social studies all history had to relate to Canada somehow or teach us about our values of equality and multiculturalism. There was also a disproportionate focus on the federal Liberal Party. For example we spent a lot more time reading about Pearson and his brave quest to bring peace and give us a new flag (yay!) then Diefenbaker. Diefenbaker was presented as this kooky guy who liked nuclear weapons and was basically an American. The class had a round of jokes about Albertans and then one bully slapped me on the neck because I was from Calgary had ought to "have a red neck."

I hate my country.

Why do you guys make fun of Trudeau so much? Canada is a tiny, irrelevant, country. Just let us suffer in peace.
