They're solid novellas but I feel like they're playing it safe, or maybe building up to a wild and wacky ending with the threat of the Threads. I guess I'll have to read the rest of the series to tell if it remains good or not, at this pace.

That isn't a power. IIRC, every Radiant has some one thing that they are very skilled at. It's more of a side effect, as something similar occurs on Scadrial with Twinborn, but isn't present within all forms of Investiture.
