My school's English department consisted exclusively of the two bare minimum 101/102 courses required by the state to give a degree. They were exclusively taught by the kind of retards who tried to mix literature with STEM in a way that just made both gay. I signed up for my 102 course and when I showed up the first day I learned my session was "Folklore in Videogames" taught by two 30 year olds who clearly wished they lived in Brooklyn and took turns hitting on every girl in the class.
The only interesting humanities course I managed to take was in the History of Science and Technology department, where some ancient professor managed to sneak in a class called European Intellectual History. We read Dante, Montaigne, St. Augustine, all kinds of surprisingly good shit. The professor liked me because I was the only one capable of writing coherently, your typical STEMfag can only write high school regurgitations.
