Being alone is the only way to validate myself. Though I try to surround myself with others it's only so I can belong somewhere. But my happiness is only felt within my own skin and any disharmony to my being will interfere with that. People are accidental interlopers just looking to demonstrate to each other that they are real individuals with real purpose. Love is a sham because it's felt within, not in connection to someone else. To feel comfortable with someone else is an achievement and so by loving them I am really just congratulating myself. Nirvana is writing because in my books I am completely in control, and everything belongs to me. This is why I feel despots and tyrants are often the most maniacally happy people in history, because there often were no limitations to their control and validation. No one lives nobly; great deeds and innovations for humanity are mere accidents of our own quest for absolute validation and purpose. The saint gives because it heightens them, the tyrant subjugates because it strokes his ego, the martyr dies because no one can best the degree to which he is willing to go to accomplish greatness. Why is America considered the greatest place on Earth to live by so many? Because it promises that we can serve ourselves to any extent of our desire, and win. I don't know why I'm here but I know that finding myself in combination with placing myself in history creates the greatest joy imaginable, and this is why I write.

Yeah I get you. I think this pic pretty much sums it up.

Only I take it that the world is actually profoundly meaningful in a way that cannot be explained or understood rationally and there is a higher, mystical beauty to the world which we are so often deadened to.

Literature is like that one friend who when you go for a walk with picks up all the stones along the path and unearths worlds full of life that were under your nose all along, if that makes any sense. Like when you lift up a stone and find a whole bunch of insects living under it. that's what it's like.

Oh well I'm drunk but I think you get what I mean
