What would be the modern equivalent to Storm of Steel?

And to make the term "modern" less vague: I'm referring to early 1990s to now.

I mis him Bros, he was such a lucid genius.
He could see things from a historical perspective instead of just reactively tanto about today's News.

Is there like a Junger guide? I'm only interested in his nonfiction and I just bought the War journals but I don't know what the fuck else he has other than "The Worker" which I'm not really interested in.

What exactly are his political beliefs? The mans all over the place.

How did he find the meaning of life and struggle from a war that was lost?

Read that as a kid, Ernst Jünger thought that the sinking of the Titanic was one of the most impactfull things that happened at his time, foreshadowing what technology will do to the future i suppose. Interesting that his brother then wrote a book about technology, with titanic as the cover for the english version at least.

I also read somewhere that in 'The Worker', Jünger neglects the farmer and the countryside in many ways. Ernst Jünger believed the world of the rural people to be in a state of irreversible decline. Instead, Jünger espoused a “metropolitan nationalism” centered on the urban working class. This is what Spengler was criticising, iirc Spengler held the farmers in a higher regard, and didn't think they would disappear.

Junger also once said that the "city" was the brain of the country, i can't find where i read that so i will look it up. (I think i got some of this from a book about him called "A Dubious Past"). Im not sure as to what extent he might have retracted from that thinking, in the sence that he setteld in a small village in the countryside etc.

For me it's Junger. Everytime I feel weak or bad I ask myself "What would Junger do?".

Having just finished Storm of Steel i want to get into Junger more philosophical writings.I know he wasnt exactly a philosopher but are there any prerequisites before starting?Also what would be the best place to start?
